About Karma

Karma Kalakendram is Northern Ireland’s leading South Indian arts organisation for children, young people, and adults. We are a flagship centre for transforming ancient temple arts into modern theatre.

Free from any religious affiliation, we focus on modern values such as mindfulness, health, and well-being, aligning with Northern Ireland’s educational principles.

We engage with children and adults year-round through our Education & Engagement and Professional Development programmes, nurturing new and emerging talent.

Our Approach

At Karma Kalakendram, we bring a modern narrative to South Indian classical dance, using art as a catalyst for positive change.

We see culture as simple and part of everyday life in fashion, food, festivals, rituals, literature, laws, and more.

Through continuous learning, we use art and culture to connect with communities, embrace diversity, and integrate education, digital innovation, and AI into a modern society.

Policies and Strategies

Our management team combines expertise in arts, culture, events, project management, STEM, literature, linguistics, and sustainability.

We align our strategies with GDPR 2018, confidentiality, health and safety, and other legal requirements, adapting to political, social, technological, environmental, and legal changes.

We set SMART goals to achieve our objectives with a clear, visionary focus.

Our Management Team
