Mudras (Hand Gestures)
Asamyuta Hastas – 28 single-hand gestures
Samyuta Hastas – 24 double-hand gestures
Students are expected to learn and demonstrate the gestures as per the Abhinaya Darpana with names, techniques, and meanings.
Grade 2 reinforces technique, rhythm, and expression – essential pillars of a Bharatanatyam dancer’s training. This level encourages clarity, discipline, and a deeper appreciation of the art form’s grammar and aesthetics.
