Lisburn: This year’s Karma Fest, which will take place at Island Hall, Lisburn, on 30 October, will offer a vibrant platform for a variety of emerging talents in Northern Ireland. Among those set to perform are assistant tutors from Karma Kalakendram, who have dedicated years to mastering the art of Bharatanatyam and other Indian classical forms.
In line with Karma Kalakendram’s policy of promoting inclusivity and diversity, the festival will spotlight performers from various backgrounds, reflecting Northern Ireland’s rich cultural spectrum. Karma is committed to fostering socio-political engagement through the arts, promoting talents that contribute to the nation’s social fabric.
Karma’s vision is to modernise traditional temple art, transforming it into modern theatre without compromising the foundational principles of the ancient text Natyashastra. This year's event will showcase the harmony between ancient cultural values and contemporary artistic expression, with a particular emphasis on celebrating diversity.
Karma Fest promises to be an unforgettable evening. It will bring together cultural innovation and a celebration of the arts in Northern Ireland.
